Halloween is a truly special day, one that I believe should be considered a national holiday. Halloween, while not officially recognized as such, holds immense significance for various reasons. It allows us all to indulge in a bit of escapism, benefiting our mental well-being, especially for children who eagerly anticipate and prepare for weeks in advance, reveling in the joy of trick-or-treating in creative costumes. This holiday brings families together, creating cherished memories, and it even boosts the economy, with candy sales spiking on this day alone. Furthermore, Halloween showcases our appreciation for pumpkins in myriad ways, and its inclusive, apolitical nature makes it a beloved tradition for all. Personally, Sleepy Hollow holds a special place in my heart, and its association with Halloween only deepens my affection for this holiday.
