Finger Bowls

I recently attended a crab boil dinner and was reminded of the elegance and practicality of finger bowls, which have sadly disappeared from dining tables. In contrast to the cumbersome and less refined wet wipes, finger bowls offer a simple and elegant solution to cleanse hands after indulging in messy finger foods. Recalling the decline of finger bowls during World War I, I advocate for their revival, suggesting that hosting a dinner with finger bowls could be a delightful surprise for guests or requesting a finger bowl in lieu of wet wipes at a restaurant could bring back this charming tradition.
