Last fall, the hit TV show “The Golden Bachelor” featured 72-year-old Gerry Turner finding love, only for his marriage to end in divorce just months later. This season, the show will spotlight 61-year-old Joan Vassos as the first Golden Bachelorette. Surprisingly, I was recruited to audition for the show and went through a rigorous selection process, ultimately not making the final cut.
