Growing up in the ’50s and ’60s, the Good Humor truck was more than just a summer treat; it was a neighborhood event. The sight of the iconic white truck and the jingle of “Turkey in the Straw” still takes me back to carefree days of laughter, sticky fingers, and the joy of picking an ice cream bar. Though times have changed and the trucks have mostly faded away, the memories they created and the sense of community they fostered are still with me today.
