I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I stepped into the Denver Stock Show, and seeing the throngs of people and the whirlwind of mules, draft horses, livestock, cowboy gear, auctions, and art was completely mind-blowing. What struck me most was how deeply rooted the culture is — I felt completely out of place with my city slicker wardrobe, but that only made the experience more fun and has me excited to come back and do it “right” next time.
