
Standing inside Prague’s Pinkas Synagogue, surrounded by nearly 78,000 names covering the walls, I found myself overwhelmed by the realization that each name represented a unique life, a family, and a future cut short by the Holocaust. What began as a visit to a historic site became a deeply personal reminder that behind unimaginable numbers are individual human stories that deserve to be remembered. I left with a renewed commitment to honor those lives by refusing to let their names—or the lessons they teach us—fade into history.
