Taking my 5-year-old grandson Henry to his first Major League Baseball game was a thrilling and unforgettable experience. We attended a game between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers, early favorites for the 2024 World Series, at the iconic Yankee Stadium. From navigating the bustling crowd of 50,000 diverse fans to explaining the intricacies of baseball, Henry’s curiosity and energy were boundless. Despite the late start and 11 innings, Henry stayed awake and engaged throughout, making it a night I will always cherish as I watched him marvel at the spectacle and excitement of the game.
