This past weekend, I went bowling with my daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren, ages six and three. To my surprise, my three-year-old granddaughter, Edie, bowled a solid 100, while I, at 80 years old, managed only an 85. Initially, I felt a mix of pride for her accomplishment and embarrassment over my own performance. However, upon reflection, I realized that Edie’s unfiltered joy and focus on the experience, rather than the outcome, taught me a valuable lesson: true happiness comes from embracing the moment, not keeping score.
