
Every summer, I return to Chappaquiddick and the family traditions that have connected generations—including our ritual trip to Edgartown for ice cream. This year, at 82, a taste of something called “Green Monster” reminded me that while the familiar traditions give life continuity, there should always be room for a new flavor, a new experience, and perhaps even a second scoop.
